Our front porch is in rough shape and needs major repair work. The front porch incorporates an elevated patio-type area and has elements of stucco, brick, concrete and slate. Some of the bricks are cracked and loose, the slate stones are loose and quite a bit of stucco has deteriorated exposing the concrete underneath. I don't want to demolish it and start new as this would be cost prohibitive. I need some recommendations for true masons who could undertake this type of repair work. I have already left messages for Avellino and Carmine's, but want to get several estimates. I know that many of the landscaping companies will build porches and walkways, but I'm reluctant to use them for this type of restoration as my sense is this requires more specialized masonry work. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
