As a full irrigation system is out of my budget for this year, I picked up a couple of these to help out with the front lawn - they had a bit about them on Ask This Old House a few months back. Basically they're a sprinkler head with an attached pipe. You bury them in your lawn at the positions where you want a sprinkler, then you attach the hose with a quick-release attachment. Not perfect, but better than having to reposition the sprinkler everytime, and they look quite discrete when not running. http://www.wateringmadeeasy.com/ I have yet to install mine - probably something I will do in the next few weeks, as the temperature comes up. Will post an update at that time if anyone is interested. Lowes stocks them - I got them from their store in Woodbridge, but it would not surprise me if the Union store has them in stock. Jason |
