I would like some names of reportable Electricians and house painters. I am thinking about Rutgers for painting my house. What do you think? We called Stacey Electricians for an estimate for a new electrical box. I was a little worry of them b/c a dear friend had the same work done by them for a lower price. Has anyone else experienced this from them?

We had a horrible experience with Stacey Electric that entailed very expensive mistakes. I called them the same day and they refused to repair it the same day. Tommy Iaione came out that evening and fixed it so that we had lights that evening. Iaione Electric is 973-218-0100 or 908-230-6037.

We used Eddie Ore from Ore Electric for a 200 AMP upgrade and other things. Great experience. (973)762-1172. http://www.oreelectricinc.com/

I had a substantial amount of work done by Stacey and would give them an A-. Very responsive, on time, on estimate, good work, very nice to work with. They did a little accidental damage to the wood floor, but covered the repair no questions asked. I'd use them again, absolutely. I am also wondering about Rutgers -- separate thread on this board.

I love Stacey. They came out immediately to fix electrical probs for me so that, in the middle of July, I had A/C while 9 months pregnant.

THEN they sent me a congratulations card for the baby.

We just used Eddie Ore for a 200 AMP upgrade as well. He did some other work, installing lights and a bathroom vent, and the results all look and work great. He has been very easy to work with, and I feel like he has told us honestly which things we need his help on, and what we can do ourselves. I had also gotten an estimate from Stacey, but am glad we went with Eddie instead.

For painters, we got three estimates, and have decided to go with New Colors, Wilson's crew. They start next Monday, doing interior painting of the whole house. So far, Wilson has been very accomodating. He even sent someone over on Saturday, a week before they start, to remove carpeting for us. I can let you know more when they have done all the work.

Good luck!

We use Craig Bradley - Bradley Electric, off the top of my head I think his number is 973 763 4232 (apologies to whoever has that number if it isn't Craig!)

Superb workmanship, very fair pricing. They are VERY busy, but calls will be returned and you can be sure he will treat you well.

As far as painting goes, we only use Rutgers - very happy indeed.

I hope this helps
