We have an old cast iron radiator that is leaking. It seems to ahve a crack in one of the coils on the bottom. It is towards the middle of the bottom of the radiator. Is it possible/worth it to fix it? Or should we just toss it? Thanks |

ok - thanks - will just make metal pick up for tomorrow then! :-) Do you know where might be a good place to find a replacement? I had gotten some really good advice this winter here, but can not for the life of me find the thread. |

On morris ave. toward Jagger lumber is a metal scrap yard. Take your old unit there and give it to them. Then, dig through the pile of rads that they have, find one you like and buy it. Of 6 that I have done this way, only once did I buy one that could not be used, and I returned it and grabbed one that did work. Later, George |

Make sure you get the same size (assuming the old one was sized corretly for the space). |
