Ok, I need my house painted and I had such overgrowth in the front of my house that I had Maplewood Tree (great work, great price) remove all the trees and large bushes that were there. Of course my house looks naked and in need of a good wash and paint job but also of course I need some foliage to compliment the house. I use Anthony's landscaping on my lawn and they do a good job for my maintenance (although at a high cost) and I got an estimate for landscaping that seemed really high. Recommendations anyone please? |

We removed all of our landscaping (which was just a lot of ugly shrubs in the front and overgrowth in the back) a few years ago when we painted the house. We hired Rick D'Addario to do the landscaping for us. He is not a landscape designer, but I literally had NO vision on what I wanted - - I just was able to tell him a few things that I knew I didn't like, and we just wanted a variety of shrubs and plants in the front and back. He went with it and did a really great job. I was so happy with his work - he was able to do what we wanted without much guidance. He also does our lawn maintenance too - he's reasonable and a really nice guy. We had a couple of the plantings die after a very wet winter a couple of years ago and he replaced them at no cost - no problem. If you're looking for someone to draw out a whole landscaping plan for you, he may not your guy, but I would say he's worth talking to at least to get an idea if he can do what you need. He's just really great to work with that I'd give him a shot. I only have his cell number 908-507-6508 |

We used Anthony's to design our backyard including a brick patio...he was expensive but everything that he planted has lived and really looks good. His vision for the patio was wonderful and the service was quick and efficient but I must say for maintenance etc, he is just too expensive for my blood.... |

I would highly recommend Joan Podel, of Acergardendesign@aol.com She has done a wonderful job on my garden, and works with you and the budget that you have. I found her very reasonable, and love my patio, field stone walls, and plantings. She is in Maplewood, so also knows the soil, deer and other factors of this area. Her designs are really impressive, and as I mentioned, is reasonable priced. Her number is 973-903-1305. |
