We just got back from a few days away from the house and we came back to find a strange smell in the bedroom. We can't locate the source but it appears to be where the radiator is. It's a kind of icky sweet smell, almost like something got burnt that shouldn't have. Anyone ever heard of this? Could it be the radiator? |

Not to gross you out, but it could be a dead mouse - I speak from experience. |

Check out the water level in the boiler. If below where it registers, turn the furnace off to cool, and a few hours later refill with water. DO NOT fill immediately as it could lead to a cracked boiler. |
