I need to get a tub ASAP. Any suggestions?
It can be a standard thing, no whirlpools...
I just need a tub!
Thanks

Central Bath and Kitchen in Orange, NJ, just over the line. Ask for Jenine (she is great).

You can wheel them out on dolly from Home Depot and Lowes.

standard tubs aren't all that standard.

standard length is 60 inches, width is 30.

but, 32 inch width is common, and longer than 60 inches is pretty common.

Do you need cast iron? Maybe fiberglas-like material (americast, for example)? Porcelain over steel?

Heights (tub depth) also vary.

I'd recommend the 32 x 60 cast iron at least if you have the room.

And of course, you need to know right or left hand drain location.

and you thought this was easy!

We just re-did a bathroom and the fastest and cheapest thing was to "refurbish" the old cast iron tub. A new cast iron is a couple of grand and a replacement is cheaper, but suckier. The guys cleaned up the bottom and painted it with some rustoleum, and voila! it looks like it's always been there. Because it has!

Thank you to Mr. Jacobs!!!
Central Bath and Kitchen was AMAZING. I have
a 60 x 32 x 17 (aaah) white tub coming by the end of the week.

Why can't everything be this easy?

Lowe's and HD wanted 15 days - go figure...

JB,a new standard cast iron tub is about 675$plus another 75$ for your tub waste.Of course this does not include removal/disposal of old one and installation of new one.
