I'm sure there must be a thread on this in the archives, but the search command keeps giving me an error message.

Looking for a locksmith. Any recommendations?

Harder Locksmith on SO Avenue. Prompt, helpful, and local - can't ask for a lot more than that.

Thanks, Mergele,

Just called over there. The fellow was very nice. Unfortunately, I have a broken Andersen lock, so he said I have to contact Andersen, as he doesn't stock parts for those locks. Will keep him in mind for other locksmithing needs, though.

I recently used Harder last week. He was polite and very helpful.

Okay, take two: any advice on someone who deals with Andersen locks? Jaeger Lumber (a distributor for Andersen) gave me a list of contractors, but what contractor is going to come out to fix a lock?

Try Milburn Hardware, ask for Dave. BTW Andersen has pretty detailed blow aparts on their web site , you might be able to identify your problem.

Thanks, everyone. Jet, you're right. My husband checked out the web site this morning and fixed it himself. Problem solved.
