I just talked to Rich DeRose at Honey Do. His company responded in a swingset installation thread here and he sounded straight up; if I work with him I will post a review here. Be well, all. David |

Let you know any day now. Rich DeRose will be doing at job at my home including sheetrock, moulding, etc. Sherri and Rich are nice people -- was at their home with moulding samples -- and saw some of the work Rich has done... Pete |

TR: I have decided to use HDLLLC for a job and will review. They certainly are a pleasure to deal with, so far sight unseen. Be well, all. David |

Rich is great -- phase 1 of project done, moving into phase 2. Sherri (his wife) has a nice design flair -- we've only casually talked, but she can help out on that end, if you need it for your projects. Pete |

Rich zipped over and helped me with something that was REALLY time sensitive. It was greatly appreciated and they did a great job. |

We also had a time-sensitive job (swingset installation w/ son returning from grandparents) and Rich did a great job here too. Please give them a try. Be well, all. David |

Do you satisfied customers want to share more details? We need lots "things" done. I.e., leaks in decorative doors, windows with clogged weep holes, a French door that sticks, loose door saddles, etc. |

What their approximate hourly rate - some similar services charge about $75/hour for the job. Each job cannot be less than 15 minutes, and if the job is over 4 hours a different rate (1/2 day or full day) applies. Just wondering what is their approximate going rate? Thanks |

Rich put together a swingset for us on short notice. My guess is he'd do well at work requiring more expertise. Be well, all. David |

Since inquiring minds want to know: Honey Do List LLC charges $75.00/hr with a 2 hr minimum for smaller jobs. We do tiling, sheetrocking, installing windows and doors, painting, etc etc. We do complete kitchens and baths within the same footprint. We choose not to do the larger additions nor roofing. We also have a complete wood shop and can produce shelving, radiator covers, custom cabinetry et al. We have an excellent floor refinisher on staff. We are licensed with the NJ Dept of Consumer Affairs and fully insured. We thank all for their interest. 973.763.4726 or rdrdr@comcast.net |

Sherri - you just earned a bonus 20 pts. in my book for setting limits up front. No one can do everything and I am always suspicious of anyone who automatically says "Sure, we can do that" to anything you ask.

We had Rich put an electrical outlet in our upstairs hallway. He did an excellent job and he is scheduled to reframe a door for us this week. He is honest and up front concerning his prices and timeline. He is always careful not to over commit. I appreciate that about him even if it means that we have to wait a little longer for him to get started on the job. |

I am cautiously optimistic about Rich. He showed up on time last night for the estimate. Brought his associate with him. Looked at all my "little things" to be done. Did not rush, despite the fact that we both (I'm sure) wanted our dinner. Gave me the option of having his associate come and start work on Saturday (took him up on it). And, best of all: I showed him something that remained unfinished from our renovation that I've been avoiding because of mess and expense. He suggested a much better solution, which will be less messy and less expensive. And to code. Oh, and he is bringing over his proof of insurance before the work starts (a biggie with me ever since The Experience with our ex fake-contractor who lied about having insurance). I will keep you all posted. |

No report back yet (some of the work was done over the weekend and we're generally pleased, but I'll wait until it's all done). I can say, however, that Rich has a sense of humor. I'd left him a list of things to be done (he was at the house a week ago to look at the job; I thought that he may not have remembered everything). Anyway, TS stayed home (for my B-day) and told him there was a list on the counter. A list? Yeah, Greenetree is a big list person. (She has been poking fun at my lists for 16.5 years). So, he read the list and apparently chuckled thru it. I believe in details; it makes things easier and lessens miscommunication. I ask TS: did he say anything? No, he chuckled, said "she really does have a list" and went to get his tools. If he has patience with my lists, add another 20 points. |

Sherri, are you always on an hourly basis, or would you quote a flat rate for a big job? I am looking for someone to renovate my laundry room/utility room. We want to enclose the furnace and hot water heater in a closet-type of thing, lay a nice floor, build a ton of cabinets, and sheetrock the entire room. It is on the main level of the house, not basement level. |

Zoesky, no we are not always hourly. For larger jobs such as kitchens, bathrooms, etc it would be by the job. We will quote on each item you would have on your list. Sheetrock is usually by the S.F as is flooring. Building cabinets would be quoted en total etc etc. Thank you for asking. (973.763.4726) |

OK - Rich got stuck on another job. But, he called to reschedule. Points for that, too. Which, anyone who has ever waited around for Godot knows, is a good thing. |
