Our wood fence in the back (I think it's cedar) has mildew all over it. What's an easy way to get rid of this stuff? |

Powerwashing can be tough on old wood... I suspect a good dosing of some harsh cleaner (bleach comes to mind) would knock it right out. |

Case is right, power washing can actually remove the dryer, older layers of wood and can make it look like hell. I would recommend something to try thats in the middle of the two earlier suggestions. HD has a gallon of "stuff" to be use with a power washer thats formualted for mildew removal. Bleach may be a little harsh and deliver blotchy results. The stuff from HD is inexpensive. Dilute it a little, screw a pole into a stiff floor brush and just apply a little in a corner or section that is not so visible....see how it looks. Don't need to brush hard just apply evenly and work it in a little. Let me know how you make out |

I've had good success with a diluted bleach solution and a scrub brush |
