Bought a can of paint last week at Home Depot and regretably the young lady behind the counter scanned the wrong bar code to mix the paint. The result was close enough, when wet, that we didn't check the printed color name and code before checkout. Well, while opening the can last evening I saw the mistake, but painted a patch on the wall to look at in the morning. Way too dark when dry. So, despite the prominently posted sign at the paint counter "NO REFUNDS, NO EXCHANGES"; as well as the same bold admonition on the receipt, I off to HD this morning and they exchanged the paint without once reminding me of the no exchange policy. See, HD ain't so bad. TomR |

I'm telling you, the HD on Rt 10 in East Hanover is pretty good, too (Tom, I assumed your experience was at the much-despised Union one?). The Rt. 10 HD, which has become my regular one, is smaller than many of them, but has just as much stuff somehow, and is run by very pleasant, helpful individuals. Sometimes they even follow you around trying to help you. What a wacky HD experience THAT can be! |
