I used Adam Schipani (908) 447-0805 Just had my service upgraded to 200A, the circuit breaker moved from a bathroom and electricity run to the garage. Very competitively priced and was extremely neat and thorough. Tell him Ken from SO referred you Good Luck |

If you're still shopping around, bklyngirl, I can echo the recommendation for Eddie Ore. What impressed me most was his upfront honesty in terms of politely turning down work that he felt could be done in a better way for us and our budget. He turned down work to dig a trench for a power line to our garage (saying the prices he'd charge weren't worth it and that we'd be better off with a different contractor for that kind of work), installing additional fixtures in our bathroom (explaining how we could get it brighter just by using a different main fixture), replacing an outdated thermostat box (patiently talking me through the simple process - even though I'd never done it before), and one or two other things that I can't remember just now. He could have very easily taken our money, but he made it a point to help us make informed decisions. Very fair, very friendly, easy to talk to and a pleasure to work with. As Rose1 mentioned earlier, the circuit breaker, ventilation, and recessed lighting work he did for us was top-notch. No hesitation in recommending his services. Good luck! |

second for stacey. I have had numerous issues in my 100 year old house, trying to install new technology. They've been great. |

MGM has done work several times in my house. Monica is one of the few female electricians in the business. They do great work. Jeff

Monica did work on my house as part of a remodel. I found her prices grossly inflated. Worse, she'd send a different electrician each day, so there was no continuity and a lot of lost time. Everyday her guys were there, I found tool belts, equipment, tools, etc. strewn about my house, including one day, inside a wall that was about to be closed by the carpenters. When I sat down with her to discuss it, she gave no ground whatsoever. |

There's something funky about MGM... I've never hired them, but am in the process of attempting to purchase a home where they recently upgraded the service. The panel has apparently passed inspection, but my home inspector was horrified at what they'd done with multiple splices and some serious funkiness with jumpers in the box. He deemed the whole mess 'hazardous'. |
