We've got some pipes in our basement with scary peeling asbestos that need to be professionally wrapped. Looking for recommendations from fellow MOL'ers who've had this done. Thanks!

Also, how much does a job like this usually run? We probably have about 8-10 pipes down there that need to be wrapped up.

It is probably better to remove the asbestos than wrap it. When we had this done the cost was around $1,000, which according to our real estate lady is almost the universal price for most houses around here.

The work was done by a company, I think, call D&H Restorations, that does a ton of work in MW and SO. I don't have contact information, but I am sure someone will post it shortly, and correct the name if I am wrong.

Thanks, Bob K. we would obviously prefer to remove it, but thought that would cost a LOT more than $1,000. Good to know the general range for that is not as bad as we thought.

We had a similar issue, and I don't think it even cost $1K last year. I think the name of the company was Aztech (sp?) in Montclair maybe? Aztech Management Inc 86 Christopher Street Montclair, NJ, 973-744-8800
