I need a landscaper to help me with some simple things in my backyard: take out some dirt/tree roots and put in a small patio. I don't think we need an artistic designer, just someone who can help out a little and is not too expensive. Thanks! |

This is the height of the season for landscapers. We did a major backyard renovation last year & contracted in May to get on the schedule for August. It might be hard to find someone for a small job. See if any of your neighbors are doing landscaping work. It might be easier to get their landscaper to spend a day or two at your house while they are in the neighborhood for a larger project. |

As greenetree says, it may be tough to get a busy landscaper to do that kind of work right now, but if you can wait, you might get lucky in the fall or winter, when someone good will have downtime to work on projects that don't depend on the season. For the kind of project you describe, try Limbach's Landscaping in Madison. It's practically guaranteed that they won't have time now, but if you can wait till November, you can probably get the job done in a day. Anthony Molinaro of Anthony's Landscaping also might be willing to tackle the project you describe and would do a good job. |
