Everyone always talks about how great Fred Hodges is... and now I know why! I called him yesterday to ask for a quote on removing some lumber and building materials; he was at my door the next morning, gave me a quote on the spot and removed everything in 20 minutes. His crew was fast, careful and friendly - you couldn't ask for a more professional experience. Here are the contact numbers from his business card: Home - 908 688 2911 Cell - 908 907 3379

He was just here to look at my job! I met him last summer, but didn't have my stuff together, but I'm ready now. He is SO GREAT! So friendly! He'll be here on the 2nd to pick up my junk. He's awesome. |

It depends on what you were getting rid of, I guess. |

Curious how he comes up with his pricing - is there a rule of thumb? |

Fred knows how much it costs him to dispose of certain items. Some are a lot more than others. He really packs the truck very well to maximize the load so he can fit more in. You can't go wrong with Fred.

LOVE FRED!!! I think he has moved the same refrige three times, carted away so much stuff I, personally, have a land fill. Always courteous, always prompt, always reasonable. That man has never been anything but the utmost professional. Who else can you say that about???

I'm glad that everyone is happy - he really IS a nice guy, and during the truck loading he told me that he's been working in Maplewood for over 25 years, which is a really great thing. I'm strongly recommending him to everyone - it is a wonderful feeling to finally get a pile of junk out of your life! |

Another bit of praise for Fred: My wife stayed home sick today and we figured it would be a good time to give him a call to come by and give us a quote on some junk. Here's what my wife just emailed me: $40 - they took the logs, the scrap wood, the cat carrier. I couldn't find the range hood. But it's done and if we have stuff in the future, it's easy enough to call them again. It was awesome - while the two guys were hauling wood over to the truck, Fred took an axe to a couch he had in the back to make room for everything. That's what I like to hear. |

You think he would take away chunks of broken up sidewalk? |

I know he would. He's got to take that to a separate facility, and its based on weight... but give him a call and he'll take care of you. |

Does Fred do any demo as well? At some point in the future I'd like to replace my existing front walkway with brick/pavers. I don't have a problem laying the new walk, but I might try and save my back breaking up and getting rid of the old walk. |

You can ask him... he does have a crew, so it IS possible. You won't know until you ask! |

Fred and the guys were at my home two days ago and he's AWESOME! He was running a bit late, but was courteous and called me to let me know this. I told him I had to pick up the kids by 3:15pm and I was afraid I wouldn't have enough time for them to clean out both basement and garage. He estimated the entire job would be done in an hour. I didn't believe, but IT WAS! I think we had time to spare! What a great guy! WE LOVE FRED! |
