with too much time on my hands, I decided the 70's carpet in the dining room had to go!! Unfortunately the pleasure of ripping the carpet out has now been replaced by the reality, that the previous owners were not just following the trend for wall to wall, but were likely making a practical decision in light of the condition of the floor. The good news is the floor is oak, the bad news is I am looking for recommendations for floor repair. I would welcome recommendations, of floor finishers, or carpenters to fix the floor which appears to be water damaged, stained and buckled in places. Thanks |

I don't have the number to hand, but call Bryant Flooring (I will try and get the number for you unless someone else posts it) they are local and exceptionally good. Our house had wall to wall lime green carpet when we moved in and red oak floors underneath which were in dire need of attention, Bryant did a great job.
