Hi, someone I trusted recommended someone for a roof repair back in October when it rained heavily. Since then, we are still getting water in the same spot(s)... trying to contact the guy and having a very difficult time getting a call back.

I don't think this is a major thing, but I do want it fixed asap... does anyone have a number of someone who they know will come and fix a problem?

Thanks!

I recently used Deegan Roofing/Deegan Bros. for a roof repair. I thought they were honest and reliable. I don't have their number with me, but they're listed.

I use Mike Zagar from MZ Contracting. 973-376-1322. I have used him for years, is reliable and honest. I also have used Bob Hume from RGH Development (973) 762-4141 who also is excellent. Not sure if either will handle a small job but I recommend either.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with you about Bob Hume, mcarmel. I "tried" to get an estimate from him about 1 year ago and got nowhere. I say "tried" because I couldn't get a straight answer from Hume as to what the cost would be for a roof repair.

All I needed were a few shingles repaired, and Hume said he couldn't give me a quote until he got up on my roof and actually made the repairs. At that time I would be charged for labor, which he said depended on how long the work took, and the actual shingles replaced. Now, does that make sense? It didn't to me, so I paid him the $85 he charged for simply inspecting the roof from the ground and never called him again.
