I'm looking to replace the lighting fixtures outside my house. Specifically, the light post and the light fixture just above my front door on the outside of the house. Any suggestions on where I can buy well-made outdoor lighting fixtures will be greatly appreciated. bklyngirl |

Capital Lighting on Rte 10 in E. Hanover. I've only bought indoor fixtures there but I remember they had a whole section for outdoor lighting. |

Bklyngirl; I'm about to do the same - checked out Home Depot & Lowes wasn't very impressed most was low quality and not is the style I am interested in but then again I'm specifically looking for something that would go with a historic home. You should also try Capitol Lighting on Springfield Ave in Union. I found the selection, quality and prices excellent at Direct Buy the only hassle was that there is no product ot physically look and feel - everything is ordered and viewed via computer terminal. That was the nice thing about having Home Expo around is that you could see it there and then order direct from manufacture through Direct Buy at a fraction of what it would cost elsewhere - thought beware everything at Direct Buy isn't a great deal espcially when you take into account the 4 figure membership fee but if you have a major renovation then it will pay back without issue. |

Rejuvenation has good stuff, but not cheap by any means. |

There is a lighting store on Springfield Avenue in Union? Possibly you are thinking of the one on Morris Avenue near the foot of Burnett?

Try Bellacor.com - they have a huge selection and everything I've ordered has been excellent quality. Rejuvenation makes beatiful things too, but Bellacor has a broader price range to choose from. Also take a look at what Restoration Hardware has. When they put their stuff on sale, it's reasonable - and good quality. |

There are a couple of places on Morris Ave. One is Felzberg lighting and is on the left hand side of the road (as you're heading towards Union) the other is Union lighting and that is on the right hand side of the road. We found the selection in Felzberg to be pretty decent and wound up purchasing our dining room fixture there. The prices were very competitive. We recently purchased all of our kitchen fixtures at Capitol lighting on Rte. 10. This was after searching the internet and doing the obligatory search in HD and Lowe's. We found shopping online for lighting to be tough because its really difficult to see how something looks unless its lit and in place. Maybe its just us. |

The main problem about buying online is the sizing. We bought a nice outdoor fixture and it ended up looking much smaller in person than online. And make sure whatever you buy has the wattage capability you want. I like bright lights (inside and out) and I can't tell you how many times I've bought a fixture and not checked only to find out it is 60 watt maximum which is too dim for me. I second Union lighting, Capitol lighting. Also check Restoration Hardware (online and in SH Mall). Prices aren't great and limited selection but what they do have is very cute. |

Nevermind, there was a typo in your link. The correct link could be found here; http://www.rejuvenation.com/
