We just went up to the attic an it is way hot, surprising with only a couple of warmish days. This is a new house to us, so I think we need to have a couple of attic fans installed. Can anyone recommend a carpenter/roofing guy and/or electrician? Seems like we need to get this sorted out, or it's gonna be a hot summer. Thanks in advance for the recommendations. |

I don't know of a carpenter, but if you are looking for a great electrician, I would like to recommend Craig Bradley/Bradley Electrics, 973 763 4232

On the same note...I turned ours on for the first time yesterday, and it seemed to be vibrating and making more noise than normal. I checked it out today and all the slats open correctly, nothing seems to be loose, and just for laughs I replaced the belt. None of that seems to have helped. It was somewhat disconcerting to me that there was no way to adjust the belt tension. Both the fan pulley and the motor pulley are in a fixed position. I have no idea who I should call as far as servicing a ceiling fan. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks! |

In addition to the attic fans, you may want to look into your insulation situation. We have slowly been adding insulation to the attic and it is helping a lot with the heat and the cold. |

Craig Bradley is our electrician, too. We had an attic fan installed in the fall so it hasn't been running yet. Craig suggested we get a roofing company to cut the hole and drop the fan in, then he would hook it up. We used Scott's Roofing. |
