a 75 gallon tank, 6 years warranty on parts and 10 year warranty on the unit, no interest for 12 months, $1240, installed with taking away old unit. Should I have gone to Home Depot? What would I save?

That sounds like a good price and good warranty. Don't beat yourself up about this stuff.

This happened to me a year ago last March. I went with PSE&G too, just made the last payment in April. My plumber, and some other guys who know what it should cost, told me I paid far too much. Next time I will wait until my own plumber can come, which would have only been one more day. In addition, when the town came out to inspect, it was installed wrong and the PSE&G sub contractor had to come and do it over.

Wow. We got a 10-year rated, 65 gallon (they basically come in 7- and 10-year) installed by our plumber in one day for $700.

Call Gateway (973) 762-1000. Don't get one from Home Depot.
