I am in the process of redoing my floow, what i wanted to do is buy the 1" hardwood an dplace it on the old hardwood since there is not sub floor i nail the orginal wood and use it as the sub. now talking to someone who does that kind of work suggested that the best thing is tp remove the old wood put in a new sub.

any suggestions?
