We cleaned out the fireplace, but still have that smoky odor - vent is closed as well. Any ideas on a way to give the fireplace a good scrubbing and eliminate this smell? Is there a febreze like product that would absorb the odor? |

Could the damper be leaking - maybe rain got in & is making it smelly? How about baking soda or one of those "lava rock" pouches for odors - think you can find them at places like Bed Bath & Beyond... |

Funny you should say that. I actually threw him out a couple of months ago. He was spending all of his time playing online poker, BS'ing on MOL, engaging in questionable activities with Snickers Bars -- not to be indelicate, but he was attempting to create a Snickers "Dark" line.
