I need a mason to pour cement in my shower to create a shower pan. Any recommedations? |

You need a tile man,to place a mortar bed on top of the PVC pan that your plumber installed and water-tested,correct? Hopefully,the sub-floor was pitched,to allow any moisture that migrates down to the pan,to run to the weep holes and down the drain.Water just sitting on the pan is a major cause of a mildew problem,which is hard to eliminate. |

Being a veteran of the Shower Pan Wars (ee had to have ours redone 3 times), I have to ask: why a mason? The contractor doing the shower should be able to handle it. You may have a difficult time getting a mason to come do a small job like that. And, George is very right: if the person doing it is not experienced, you will be very sorry. Get a tile/bathroom contractor. |
