Anyone have experience with these modular DIY "rugs"? www.florcatalog.com They look pretty cool and I like the idea of being able to design a rug yourself. But I do worry about the installation on my brand new hardwood floors. Anyone try them out yet? |

Hey, Former Cowgirl. They are very cool, and very easy to work with/instal. Also easy to remove and will not hurt your floors at all. Have you ever been to Classic Design Framing? They installed them by the front and rear doors of their gallery. Looks great. If you want more details or just a closer look, you could pop in & check them out. I'm sure either Krista or April there, would be happy to help with any info or advice. |

Cowgirl.. I love that shop, it's: 168 Maplewood Ave, center of Maplewood, Right across the street from St James's Gate Publick House Restaurant. Very nice store, always new art on display, and I love their framing. |

I used the ones that are sold by HD (Legato, I think is the brand) for a nursery. We love them. I can see the lines between panels a little but its not bad. If I ever did a bigger room with them, I would probably mix tiles to avoid that issue. |

We have Flor passage way tiles wall-to-wall in our bedroom. We also used irish setter, guppy and frog as an area rug in the entry area. (Sounds like a menagerie.) There's a great store in Montclair called Semplice. They have samples of all the styles for you to check out. We ended up buying ours direct from Flor and they were delivered in less than a week. |

Thanks SO much for this link Jason! We just received our samples. I think we're a bit disappointed in the thicknes/plushness, but the designs are still cool. The plushest sample is not very plush. But we might make a decision quicker with this sale. |

You're welcome! Good luck with the rug shopping! By the way, it is worth keeping an eye on that FatWallet site from time-to-time - they have some good deals listed on there. Jason |
