Fool me once, shame on you. Fool...me...foo...can't get fooled again!" -our President So I called Garden State Gutters last year based on a neighbors recommendation and was sorely disappointed. Set up and missed 3-4 appointments. For service, I actually pulled one of their trucks over (don’t ask – scared them to half to death) and insisted that they - after working with their dispatcher through whatever logistical issues created by fitting my job in – complete my job that day. Did I learn? Noooooo! Set appointment for Saturday morning. Waited all day - called them at noon, 3pm, 5pm. Each time I was told that I was DEFINITELY on the schedule and not to worry. I was sitting on my from porch at 5:30 when the yellow truck did indeed arrive. I waved to them as an indication that, YES – this was the house. They smiled, waved back...and drove away. WTF? Does anybody know of a reliable, reasonable gutter cleaner? Thanks!

New Jersey Glass and Gutter- Fellow was the most reasonably priced estimate, consistant and timely, and flexible contractor I've ever engaged. Even returned a check to me when I double paid him. His numbers easily found on this board. |

I would NEVER call Ned Stevens or Garden State gutter cleaning. Ever. There have been complaints from what I remember about both companies on this board about being forced into service contracts and billed for work never performed. Hence the reason for my opinion.

jack; Try doing a MOL search. There have been many discussions of gutter cleaning/repair in the past.......plenty of recommendations in old threads. MJ |

I called to have them put gutters on my house. They did it within a couple of days and LEFT a bill. No service contracts. No other calls ever! I guess the experience varies from one customer to another. |

Jack: Call Mr. Hameed at America's Star. Nicest guy. Does gutter cleaning and window washing (interior & exterior). Also, he's 30% cheaper than Stevens or Garden State and reliable. This past week when it was raining hard and I had a problem with my gutters - he came out that day to help out. His numbers are: (973) 580-0760 (973) 378-7996 |

We had a great experience with Bay Roofing, who also did an excellent job on our roof. Great customer service. Also very competitive pricing. Owners are Dave and Steve: http://www.bayroofing.com 1-800-328-4229 |

I had my gutters "cleaned" this morning by Deegan Roofing and Gutters. I've previously used them for roof work, which they did okay, and this is my first time using them for gutter cleaning. My babysitter tells me that they came and went in 10 minutes! I just called them to ask what they did exactly and they said that all they did was "blow" out whatever was on the roof and in the gutter lines, but they did not "flush" them out, because I didn't request it. They charged $85. I thought flushing the gutters was just as important as blowing everything out? In other words, I thought that's what cleaning the gutters included. Am I wrong? Did I just pay $85 for nothing? bklyngirl |

When I cleaned gutters, it was always based on time with the first hour or part thereof, $80. Seldom did I flush them unless requested and always on time. I would always check for leader clogs to grade. You can really run up the invoice by flushing and it creates a hazard to the guy doing the work. |
