grownup25 - what brand of storm door is it? We're looking at the Pella ones carried by Lowes, and the Andersons carried by HD. I did see that HD had some good deals on installation, did it take long for them to do the install? (I'm assuming that it was carried out by a local contractor on behalf of Depot?)

Thanks,

Jason

Last year we have had 2 Pella storm doors installed by Lowes, although it was the one in Woodbridge since the Union location had not opened at that time. Just went back to Lowes in Union to get a 3rd storm door installed. Installation by Lowes is done by local contractors and costs about $145, I think, in addition to the cost of the door. The contractor who installed the first 2 doors did a fine job although we had a mechanical problem with one of the doors which Lowes resolved for us fairly quickly. Hopefully our 3rd door will go as smoothly.

actually now that you mention it, this same person had a pella door put in by lowes as well, same deal, she's very happy with both. not sure what the cost of the lowes door was, but the pella door is sweet. the hd door was called 'forever door' i think...

Is a significant difference between the Pella from Lowes and the ones available at the Pella store?
