I recently purchased and began using a 6 gallon oil-free Bostitch air compressor.

After maybe 10 problem free uses, last night the drain cock would not allow the tank to drain quickly. It was fussy and seemed clogged. Took 2 hours to drain.

I havent used a compressor before and am concerned about safety as well as ease of use.

Any advise?

At the risk of being dogmatic, you should drain it after each use, some even suggest leaving it open when not in use. Also helpful to apply some very light oil to drain threads
