Very Cool, I just purchased the professional Rigid table saw. I think I will be very carefull when using it - still have my fingers last time I looked. The price was of the sawstop unit was quite steep.

Really good. Mr. Lizziecat and I sent the link to our eldest son, who almost lost a couple of fingers in a table saw last year.

The product has been out for quite a bit of time. From what I remember the inventor tried to license the technology to other companies who build table saws yet no one did. Maybe his cost for the technology was too high. When no one bought the idea that's when he decided to make a go on his own.

I remeber seeing the product 5 years ago. Still, its a great product and I've thought of it even time I've used a table saw since.

So that means I can't use it to slice my frankfurters anymore?

(PS: saw this table saw on an HGTV show in '05, and it was amazing to see it work so well.)
