We have "vintage" hardware on our doors that has taken a beating over the years. We're thinking about getting the hardware re-plated with nickel.

Has anyone done had this done, and can recommend a company and approximate cost?

Nu-Chrome... http://nu-chrome.com/ They did some bumpers for my car. When car parts are chrome plated, they are always triple plated. Under all chrome is nickel. They will happily nickel plate.

Patson in Brooklyn, in East Williamsburg, if they're still there. They used to have a 200 dollar minimum, so you would have to do enough of it to make it worthwhile. They do nice work, though. They are or were listed.
