Do I need to get a permit for putting in a pavered patio (replacing grass with pavers) and replacing asphalt on the driveway with pavers? I thought it wouldn't be necessary but I saw on some other thread that in some towns you need a permit (we are in Millburn). Do you need one even if a landscaper is going to put the pavers in?

Your best bet is to call your township. I don't know about Millburn, but this is a very quick call in Maplewood.

You might get a copy of your survey (assuming you have one) and take a walk to town hall or just call 'em up and ask their opinion. The people in South Orange are very nice about things like this.

In Millburn you will most likely need a permit.
If you're still looking for someone to do the project for you. Give Joe Antal a call @ 973-332-3162
