Our daughter sort of broke the screen part of our friend's sliding door. The screen is now pretty worthless as it's disconnected pretty much on two sides. How would you handle this situation? Buy new screen from home depot or buy a new door? |

What does "sort of broke the screen part" mean? It can probably be repaired unless the frame is damaged. |

If the screen fabric itself is intact, you can get a tool from any hardware store to fix it. It's called a "spline tool" and it's quite simple to use. Here's a link with instructions about how to replace the whole screen, or you can just re-secure the old one if it's not ripped. http://www.yournewhouse.com/Departments/TVShow/seg_tscript.asp?ts_id=5107&text_t ype=S&text_page=1&mscssid=T1CK8QLRJKFV9JSHBCPP1NWUWR3XFVKB |

BTW -- splines come in multiple sizes -- around here only Lowes (not Home Depot)carries all of them ... /p |
