Does anyone have their phone #? I can't find it through Switchboard or directory assistance. Thanks!

George Mera worked for New Colors and Rutgers Painting. He stole business from both while working for them. Not the kind of person I want working in my home?

I know this is not true, he painted several rooms in my house and painted recently the whole exterior of my house, I was very impressed with his work and professionalism. I know he never worked for New Colors and about Rutgers painting he worked very hard for this company and you can get sued for your bad mouth, I highly recommend this guy because he is honest and good painter sometimes some people abuse of hard working imigrants in this country and don't pay them, other people hide behind emails and write dirty posts.

George Mera did some exterior painting for us recently and did a wonderful job. He and his crew were very professional and nice and we would definitely use him again!

I thought New Color and Rutgers Painting were the same company?
They subcontract cheap immigrant labor and undercut everyone else and do a mediocre to poor job to boot.

What's interesting is this: many posts have been dedicated to the fact that there aren't enough good contractors to go around. There is plenty of work for everyone who is good. The accusations are between them - only THEY know what is going on.

What I know to be true is that George has done an exceptional job on ALL the jobs I have had him do. He shows up when he is supposed to, does an excellent job, comes back to make sure you are pleased and satisfied and deals with things quickly and professionally. His crew was clean and quiet.

Let's not start a back and forth about who did what, but rather the merits of the painters involved.

George gets my vote (and my jobs) every time.

Get sued for what bad mouth STEPHANIE M. Isn't freedom of speach allowed in this country or on this website. For your info George painted my house while working for both companys and also did work for my neigbors on the side a few years ago. I didn't say he wasn't hard working, I just warned you about George Mera. By the way I am a resident of Maplewood for over 30yrs, attended all the schools here and know more info about contractors in this town then any of you. I have seen them all start as small business and grow in this town thanks to this website. @0yrs ago none of these companys were even here, well maybe a few good ones that are still here.

George Mera painted the inside of my house in Maplewood 10 years ago, before he worked for rutgers and recently he painted the exterior of my house in Short Hills, did a wonderful job before and did a wonderful job now, he never worked for new colors and he never needed to because many people knew him for the interior painting before his work with rutgers and many people are happy with his work. I recommend George Mera because he is professional and I have known him a long time.

Uh isn't it the American dream to do what George Mera did? That's how the economy works - he didn't steal anyone's business.

I say this even though I am one of those rare people who didn't have the best experience with Mr. Mera. It had nothing to do with his work but his crew damaged a piece of furniture and then denied it. His response was very surprising considering his reputation.
