The outside of our original wood windows are in terrible condition. A few are rotted but mostly they are just peeling old paint. We'd like to save the wood windows on the first floor of the house (although I admit we went with new vinyl everywhere else last year). Is there an exterior paint company that specializes inthis sort of work?

I believe Hone's Painting mentioned in another thread can do this work. You can also do it yourself. I like to use Peel Away 7 whenever I strip wood windows (follow all lead abatement rules!). There are also good wood epoxies that you can use on the rotted sections to preserve the sashes.
