Today we had our new front step banisters painted and then it started to rain, pretty much immediately upon completion. It doesn't seem to have affected the paint, but is there anyone out there who's knowledgeable about this who can tell me if there's something we should do/be worried about? Thanks.

I'd wait till it dries. My guess is that if it looks ok, it's probably ok.

If it was latex paint, you'll probably just have to wait longer for it to dry, but you should be ok.

If there is no visible damage (ie paint washed off, or rain drop spots permanently staining the new paint job) than there is perfect adhesion and you've got no problems.....no worries.

The issue (if any) will likely be asthetic.
