I need to get a new roof. We currently have three layers, one of which is the original shaker shingles. Of course any project on an old house is never so simple. It was suggested by the roofers that we remove all of the old horse hair insulation in the attic which is also original to the house, for a couple of reason. First, for the ventilation to work and also because a lot of debris will fall into it when they remove the original roof.

Who can I get to do this for me. I really don’t want to do it myself. It is going to be really messy. It also requires removing a thin wall board that makes it a pseudo finished attic.

Thanks.
