I notice that if I don't use the jacuzzi functions for a while, when I initially turn it on some yucky residue comes out thru the jets. Am I supposed to be running some type of cleanser thru the system occasionally to get rid of deposits? |

I had heard about this type of issue and therefore one day, when we do our fantasy bathroom, we're probably going to buy one of those hot air jet tubs which turn themselves on after they sense that the tub is emtpy and blow themselves dry! (Too cool!) |

Friends of ours have one of those. Very cool. I'm always concerned about standing, stagnating water inside the pipes/jets. |

We have a jet tub in our new old house and my home inspector recommended the dishwasher soap as well. |

Run a tub with a 1/2 cup of good old bleach. That will kill and flush the alge and molds. Drain, refill with fresh water, flush again, then drain. Do that ever few weeks and all will be good. Later, George |
