Hi all,

I've found several older references to Brian Stromko in the archives as a good local electrician to use. Any recent experiences/recommendations for electricians?

I haven't had occassion to use him, but when Craig Bradley was too busy to take on new work for me, he referred me to Brian Stromko.

Try Adam Schipani from Mario Schipani Electrical. They're listed.

I recently called Craig Bradley when my regular guy was on vacation, and was pleased with the work.

(regular guy = Jack Ackerman 973-533-0461, who will continue to be my regular guy.)

MGM Properties definitely. Now this is a company and not a "person" as requested, but nevertheless, they are superb! Got us out of a jam twice and I can't say enough about them. Carl and Leonard and the rest of the crew are thorough, neat and knowledgable. Good luck with whomever you choose.

We used Eddie Ore just last week and are satisfied with his frienliness and work.

What did I do wrong? I called Craig Bradley - he never showed up for a scheduled appointment. I called Eddie Ore - he never showed up either.

Jack Ackerman never returned my call. Neither did Ken Altman. (all of whom are "highly" recommended on this board)

The only two who did were Adam Schipani and Noe Ciccolini. Both came out, gave estimates, and were ready to do the work. But their estimates were pretty high for the job I needed done.

I wound up using Mike Volpe from All City Electrical based in Hillside. Prices were much lower, and they came out as scheduled and did the work without any last minute annoyances. 908-578-2287. Highly, highly recommended.

I'm sorry and surprised that Jack Ackerman didn't return your call! (I've recommended him on MOL and feel a bit responsible ).

Like I said above, he was away on vacation when I recently needed an electrician, but his answering machine said so -- I don't know what to tell you, except I've had nothing but good experiences with him over the 9 years we've lived in S.Orange.

I have never had Craig not show for an appointment - I won't make any excuses as I obviously don't know what happened, but that is the first time I have known of him being a no show...I hope it will be the last too!!

Sad as it sounds, I'm at the point where I'm used to contractors not showing up and/or giving me the run-around. I've dealt with a lot of really bad ones the last few years, which is why finding good ones is so important.

I hope the people who stood me up or ignored my calls treat others better in the future.

NJguy,

What electrical work did you have done? Mike is scheduled to come out to my place tomorrow to do an estimate.

Hi Angela,

Mike and his crew ran a couple circuts for us, put in the boxes and installed two ceiling fans, and replaced all our 2 prong outlets with 3 prong. They were extremely fast. PL me if you want more details on price, etc.
