Anyone have preferences about Dremel rotary tools? I'm buying one for someone who's restoring a sports car. Is the cordless Dremel best? The one with the flexible shaft? The 400 series MultiPro kit with a bazillion attachments?

The cordless is the least versatile due to the lower RPM. Go for the multipro variable speed model. Then buy the 200 piece accessory kit. Then build an airplane from scratch.

PS I LOVE the lawn mower sharpener!

while a flexible shaft is a plus, it works on the non-cordless Dremel too.

Unless you're crafting balsa-wood furniture (I'm not making any judgements here, by the way, so please don't contact the NADHFH) then you should go with the corded Dremel. The 200 piece accessory kits rule, by the way.
