For those of you who have recently made major renovations or additions, do you know the cost per square foot that your contractor charged?

Tough question without knowing your design or finishes?
$200.00 per sq. ft. minus cabinets, lighting and plumbing fixtures is an average. I've seen them high as $500.00 and low as $100.00

There are square foot calculators that do this online. Still, they will be very rough estimates. Many contractors don't price a whole job this way, but rather each item, as their workforces have certain things they do speedily, and other things that are not strong points and may take longer to do.

What do you like to sing, and cook?
