The lights in the basement won't turn on any more. I can't find evidence of a blown fuse in the fuse box, and the bulbs are fine.... anyone have a guess, without actually seeing anything?

Are they fluorescent? Sometimes the starters are the problem versus the tubes.

Yes, they're all on the same switch, which is at the top of the stairs. There's another set of basement lights on a different switch, and they are fine.
No, they're regular bulbs.
Yes, I figured it was gremlins. Or, as I usually say, demons. The demons' usual work is to follow me around and hide things when i lay them down, so maybe they were bored and wanted a change.
