With the price of new TVs being pretty low, I had a 7 year old GE that was on its way to the trash heap as soon as I could figure out when/where I could toss it. The picture would come on for a few seconds and then nothing. A few weeks back there was a thread on replacing vs. repairing old TVs. A few posters recommended One Stop Repair on Burnett next to Wooley Oil. Thanks for the recommendation. Great place. Ralph agreed to take a look at the TV and the deal was no charge if it could not be repaired ... as long as I promised to pick it up so he was not stuck tossing it out. I dropped the TV off on Monday and today (Friday) I have a perfectly good TV for $50. From what I can tell he works on all sorts of electronics. |
