Hi- Does anyone have any recommendations for antique reupholstery? I'm looking to have several pieces done and want to be sure the job gets done well (an unusual ottoman, dining chairs, a sofa).
I've seen Ultimate Upholstery (Maplewood) and Terminal Mill Ends (Union) recommended on old posts (2004 and prior). Want to see if anyone has had good experiences with anyone recently. Thanks!

I have some stickley furnture and it needed some work done. I used the little guy on Springfield Ave across the border in Vauxhall. So nice, very reasonable and called ahead of schedule when the items were complete. He was a quarter of the price that others had estimated and did not use all of the fabric. In fact he told me we bought too much. Oh well, but very nice and professional. cecilia

Terminal Mill Ends has reupholtered a wing back chair and antique rocker with swawn neck arms for my mother TWICE as styles have changed over the past 20-odd years. The quality is beautiful for these tricky pieces and held up longer than the style of fabric. It's great to still sit in a rocker my grandmother remembered from her childhood!

Jocelyn, I had two chairs reupholstered by Ultimate, both antique (one of which was my grandmother's), and they did a fabulous job. Even did a little clean up/touch up on the wooden parts of the chairs.

I have pair of smaller matching victorian chairs I need done, and will definately be having Ultimate do them as well.

That's funny - I had ultimate do 2 chairs that belonged to my grandmother and they did an excellent job as well. They polished up the wood as well and I was very happy.

Thank You for the referrals (for my grandmother's furniture)!
