sorry for what I know is a retread subject (the "search" function has a 100% failure rate for me), but can you point me to am old thread or info about small job handymen around here?

1 Hang a ceiling fan (I took down the old fixture myself but I don't like the old cloth covered wiring that's there, so I don't want to do it myself).

2 Replace the light detector that controls the footlights in front of my house. The lights are almost always on.
