We had an infestation of pigeons. They were in the attic. The holes that the birds were using to enter the house have been sealed, but the pigeons are now roosting on the edges of the house. Which is messy to say the least. How does one get rid of pigeons? |

Hardware stores sell a thick, sticky goop that you apply with a caulk gun. (I think it's called bird repellant.) Typically, you can just put a line of the goop wherever the pigeons land, and they learn not to land there anymore. The downside is, dust and dirt in the air will reduce the stickiness over time, so you'll have to reapply it if they come back later. When i had this problem in my apartment window ledge in nyc, i also bought about 4-feet of pointy spikes from an exterminator. That was the most effective method for me, but then again, i didn't care how unsightly the window in my air shaft looked from the outside.

Buy a peregrine falcon. Not only will you be helping an endangered species, you will also reduce the population of winged rats. |
