We have fitted carpets upstairs and they have all stretched...so we have 'ripples' . Cool if you want to have a wave effect, not cool otherwise.

We wanted to get a carpet fitter to come and stretch them/trim edges etc...does anyone have a contact number for someone who can do this ?

Many thanks.
JAM.

Did you have the carpets put in or were they there when you bought the house.
Usually the original installation people will come one time to do this for free.
Check it out. If not, you can rent a kicker and just do it yourself.

Or if you don't feel like doing it yourself, call Mike at Steamline 973-378-2000. He and his crew have stretched carpets for me both at the office and at home, with good results.

Tried the kicker and the carpet is too heavy to make much difference. We need the 'industrial' version ! They were installed about 5 years ago so maybe its unlikely the installer would come back...worth a try though.

Any other names welcome, but Steamline will get a call. Thanks.
