The Primer bulb on the lawnmower is not working. Oil level is fine, but for some reason the primer bulb is not functioning.

Thoughts?

There is a lawnmower place on stuyvesant. If you head east on Boyden and make a right on Stuvesant it is on the right. That is where I would take it. You might see if there is a fuel filter that is clogged, or a clogged fuel line.

There's also a great shop on Springfield, right next to the Maplewood Hobby Shop (it is 'behind' Maplewood Hobby when you're on Springfield).

I ran into the same problem early this summer. Mine was an easy fix.

I removed the airfilter and filter holder to expose the carburator. I then used canned air to blow out the primer channel and remove the detrius which had accumulated. Reassembled and started the mower.

If you decide not to go the DIY route, either J&A on Styvasant or P&P off Springfield should be able to help you.

Good luck.

Thanks to all. My retired neighbor next door had it running when I got back from family picnic. Have no idea what he did, but would imagine TomR's suggestion.
