Does anyone know if MW electrical code requires metal or PVC conduit when running romex from a junction box to an electrical receptacle in a basement? Or is it ok to just run the romex tapered to the wall to the receptacle from the junction box with its own shielding? Thanks |

The National Electical Code says conduit. Play it safe since it's going to be exposed. With offset fittings, couplings and pull elbows it not difficult to install conduit. |

This has got to be the most violated part of the electrical code, at least here in MW.
