is there any harm in painting basement waste pipes? it occurred to me that paint may contain something that's acidic to pipes? our laundry room has a bunch of the steel pipes running about, and i'd like to paint them all gray to get a cleaner, less *grotty* look. thanks. |

if they're steam pipes they need to be insulated but if they're just cast iron waste pipes ... paint away ... Richard (ROC) --Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark; professionals built the Titanic.-- --AIM: ROConn |
