In our upstairs bath, the tub has two exposed sides. I'd like to put a glass enclosure on it -- I'm so sick of dingy shower curtains! -- but I've never seen this sort of enclosure on two sides of a tub, only on one side, when the tub is recessed into the wall. Can this be done? Anyone have any idea such a thing would cost to have installed?

Yes it can be done. I worked on a remodel job where it was done. A very custom glass enclosure was created by a glass company located ob Bloomfield Avenue. I drove there and the show room was something to look at. The name of the comany started with a 'A', I could drive there now, could be Caldwell, Verona or another town close.

Try Google and see what you find.

It was expensive, but looked very good.

Hey, jg and Richard, why do you have the same tag line? Are you the same person?

About how expensive is it to do this? I was also thinking of the same thing.

I found and started posting with the tag line. Days later Richard started using it as well.

Richard, where did you find it?

Personally, aside from possible claustrobia, I hate the thought of all that glass, tracks, etc. when it comes to maintenance.
An old-fashioned solution might be a circular shower curtain rod.
