we've been speaking to a few heating companies about replacing our steam boiler and was wondering what people thought of the Air Group. was wondering because they offer a finance plan and at the moment that's the direction that works for us. any comments would be appreciated. thanks |

FWIW: Our neighbours were happy with them for their central AC installation. |

Air Group has done work in my own home and I would highly recommend them for HVAC jobs (i.e; Ductwork/ forced air systems). However, some of the worst steam boiler installations I've ever seen were done by HVAC companies - its just not their thing. |

We just had them install central AC throughout an addition and as a replacement for an older system in the existing portion of the house. They were well-priced and professional. The crew was on-time and cleaned up after themselves. Our rep, Joe Ganguzza was reponsive and willing to explain all of our options, even options he didn't recommend. Good luck! |

We had AG install C/A last January (got a winter discount). We got their name from friends who used them and were very happy. They were great. In & out in 2 or 3 days. Some of the work couldn't be finished until our kitchen was ready in July. They came & did the work on schedule & went out of their way to work around our contractors in the middle of their busiest season. When we decided the master bedroom wasn't cooling properly, they came right out and installed another duct, no additional charge or argument. They also were perfectly agreeable about waiting for the last 3rd of the payment until the system was fully running in August. Big thumnbs up. Our rep was Bill Edsdale. |

We too use AirGroup for our central air and to maintain our boiler. I dig them and am happy for their honesty. Last winter we thought our boiler was shot, so we called Weltman for an estimate. They gave us a crazy price of $9k and said they could install copper pipes throughout the entire basement -- WHATEVER! I called AirGroup for their quote, which was more in tune with what we thought the price would be, in the mid $4k's. The guy fine tuned it and told us that it was working; we could need a new one tomorrow, or this one could last 10 more years. They were just here a few weeks ago to get the boiler winter-ready, and so far, so good. |

Use a Licensed Plumber for your Boiler, not Ductwork people, I learned that the hard way |

Air group did an excellent A/C installation job for me too. We had two other firms come and quote and they found an elegant and effective solution to fitting the system within a difficult house without causing major disruption. The other firms wanted to rip the place apart. The system works beautifully too.
